Guided walk to First Nations House (563 Spadina Ave – 3rd floor) – 15 minutes from subway
This is a guided walking tour that includes walking outside for a significant time. Attendees should wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate gear for the weather.
The University of Toronto is the top university in Canada, and a world class institution (ranked the 17th best institution globally by US News Best Global Universities). We offer over 700 undergraduate programs and 200 graduate programs to our ~100,000 students. We have produced 9 Nobel Laurents, invented insulin, and trained the first women licensed to practice medicine in Canada. The tour will be conducted by an Indigenous undergraduate engineering students and an Indigenous engineering professor. We will start our tour at the First Nations House and tour various science and engineering buildings. The tour will give insight into the Indigenous experience in STEM on campus.
