AISES in Canada National Gathering Travel Scholarships are now open! 

Are you an American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, or Indigenous person from Canada pursuing a STEM education? This is your chance to engage with peers, researchers, and leaders in STEM while exploring how STEM can address global challenges. The National Gathering offers unparalleled opportunities to expand your STEM knowledge, network, and leadership potential. 

Who Can Apply:

Students from both the U.S. and Canada are eligible to apply, though preference will be given to Canadian citizens.
Scholarship Details:

Scholarships cover:

• Conference registration fees
• Round-trip economy airfare
• Lodging (shared, same-gender accommodation)

Recipients are responsible for:

• Ground transportation, baggage fees, meals not included with registration, parking, and incidental expenses.

Important Notes:

Students must have a valid passport to travel. AISES does not provide passport assistance, and only applicants with passports in hand are eligible.
Application Deadline:

January 31, 2025 11:59 p.m. EST

Selection Criteria:

Applications will be evaluated based on:

• Essay quality, outlining how attending the National Gathering will benefit the applicant
• A letter of recommendation
• GPA strength
• Involvement with AISES

Finalist Notifications:

Finalists will be notified in late January or early February.
