Flying into Durango (DRO)?
Here are your transportation options:

•  Airport Shuttle: https://roadrunnertransit.org/airport-shuttle/ (must be scheduled with 48 hours notice)
• Rideshares Apps (Uber is around $35.00 but not always available)

• Carpool: If you would like to see if someone is available to pick you up if you are arriving outside of typical transit/rideshare hours, please email 4CC@aises.org with your flight information and we will see if we can help assist!

Dorm Information

Here are the highlights of everything you need to know to be conference ready when you arrive 
at FLC: 

• If you are arriving outside of the normal check in hours (early morning or late afternoon/evening), please contact 4CC@aises.org in case one of our committee members needs to grab your key for you ahead of time.
• Please be sure to check in to get your keys at the Student Union! 
• Attendees will either be staying in Escalante or Camp. We tried our best to put you in a room based upon your preferences noted in your registration. However, if there is an issue, please find one of the 4CC staff members.
• Parking is free: over the summer, you can park in any lot for free.
•  No smoking allowed. FLC is a smoke-free campus. Smoking, vaping, and the sale and use of tobacco products, vaping products, and e-cigarettes are prohibited in all College-owned and operated buildings and grounds.
• Bring a fan: There is no a/c in any of the residence halls and we do not have fans to rent out. If you cannot bring one with you, there are stores in town that you can purchase fans from.
• If you need cleaning products to clean up a spill, contact your conference liaison.
• Shower Needs: Showers may be shared with other members of your group. Travel shampoo, body wash, and soaps are encouraged. You may want to bring a shower caddy and/ or shower shoes. Please be mindful of your time that you will be sharing showers/bathrooms with other attendees! 
• Please note that there are no elevators in the dorms! You will have to take your luggage up a flight of stairs if you are on the second floor.
• Mealtimes: Mealtimes will be listed on the Convening Agenda (website and app). Please be sure to eat during those times, as they are only open during certain hours during the summer.
• Security/Propping Doors: Our residence halls are locked 24/7 and you will need to use keys to access the building. Please do not prop doors open for your safety and others.
• Please do not let anyone in the building that is not part of your group. 
• In case of an emergency, please call 911. If it is a non-emergency, please contact the duty phone or the campus police non-emergency number at 970-247-7491. There are blue lights located on campus that will connect you directly to the officer on duty.
• Wildlife: Please do not feed any wildlife!

Wi-Fi Instructions

To connect to our wi-fi please follow the directions below:

1. From your device’s available wireless network lists (windows) airport menu (Mac OS X) or wi-fi settings menu (smart devices or tablet) choose the wireless network “Guest”.

2. You will be given a warning that “You are connecting to the unsecure network ‘Guest’. Information sent is not encrypted and may be visible to others. Do you still want to connect?”

3. Select CONNECT

Health Concerns & Preparation

• Be sure to wear sunscreen!
• Bring a refillable water bottle and refill regularly
• Bring a portable hand fan if you run hot
• Pack light/airy clothes for daytime hours (high 80’s–mid 90’s)
• Pack a light jacket/sweater for evening hours (high 40’s–low 60s)
• Fire Weather Watch (Watch Duty app) may be in effect during your stay. Please be mindful in preparation for bad air quality (have your medications like inhalers handy)
• If you are sick, please take care of yourself and stay home

Elevation: Durango, CO – 6,500+ Feet Above Sea Level

If you are normally closer to sea level, please be aware of elevation/altitude sickness! The FLC campus is located on a hill. The “Sky Steps” are the best way to get on/off campus into town.

How to help prevent altitude sickness:

• Drink Water! Start drinking extra water 24 hours, and continue to drink water regularly during your stay. There are water refilling stations around campus, please bring a reusable water bottle!
• Limit your caffeine intake before and during your stay
